Service was great and the food was fantastic!! We had garlic bread with cheese and a pepperoni pizza, both were delicious! We were so full but had to try their gelato and it did not disappoint. It was a tasty treat to finish off the meal. Highly recommend sitting on their patio to enjoy a beautiful evening

Delicious, and great value! I ordered a margherita pizza to-go from Bongiorno’s and it was quick (ready in 15 min) and tasty. Did not disappoint! Will definitely be back.

I cannot tell you how much I enjoy this gem of a restaurant. It’s kind of hidden but you feel like you are in an Italian cafe in Europe or even Central Park. The food is amazing, everything very fresh, the portions are generous and the owners are so kind and welcoming.I have come here the last 2 years on my birthday because I truly enjoy the experience.I can’t wait till I get back to the city so I can eat there again. Delicious food , wonderful experience.

Got the Silvio E Gabriele pizza. The arugula and prosciutto are pop'n.

The pizza crush is nice and thin and crunchy. ???? better than the lasagna that is marketed as Deep Dish.

Will be back to try more.

Amazing calzone and pizza. Felt like I had stepped off the subway in NY. Truly authentic and the best value of our whole trip to Chicago. Will make this a regular spot.

Before I get into the review, this place is located inside the River Plaza at 405 N. Wabash. Turn at the River Plaza sign off N. Wabash and follow the sidewalk into the River Plaza building.

Stopped by during lunch while visiting Chicago. I've had all the usual deep-dish pizzas and other well-known pizza places in Chicago, so wanted to try someplace different. It was lunchtime during the week, but it was not too crowded. There's about 10 tables both inside and outside, but it was a rainy day so opted for the inside. They don't sell individual slices, but the small 10" pizza is only 4 reasonable slices. Service was very fast and friendly.

Ordered the 10" Capricciosa pizza which took about 10-15 minutes to arrive. Pizza was straight out the oven and looked great. Crust was a good thickness, crispy, just the right amount of sauce, and there was a generous amount of ingredients. They also have desserts such as gelato, tiramisu, cannolis, and cookies. I was too full for anything big, so just ordered 2 cookies after another customer recommended them. It was a good recommendation.

Nice hidden gem for good pizza. Good food and service.

Family owned. Great thin crust pizza. The best in town. Located by the Trump hotel. Outdoor seating available. Rolled Eggplant appetizer is so good! Chicken Parm sandwich was just okay. The Caprese Salad is my favorite. Light and refreshing. Reasonably priced. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a quick , casual bite to eat in Chicago.

Nice place! Food order came promptly and was delicious. I wish it had come with maybe a small salad or something. It just had a serving of bread. Friendly staff.

Simply phenomenal. The service was good, but the food was simply sublime. I cannot put into words how good it was other than pure ecstasy. The salad was the perfect blend of mozzarella, tomato, salad, and olive oil that formed a union of flavors for a salad unlike no other. The salad was one of the simplest but best I've had in a while. Now the main course was just beyond what I expected. The perfect blend of soft pasta layers, sticky and savory meats coupled with crimson scrumptious red sauce and topped with fantastic melted cheese bring you straight to flavor town. The tastes, textures, and smells all combine to make the best Italian food I have ever eaten and the best dining experience in a few years. 10/10 would recommend to anyone wanting Italian. And for their low price tag, it's criminal how underrated the restaurant is. Delicious!

We absolutely loved Bongiorno's. It's a quaint small spot run by a wonderful gentlemen from Italy. You're not going to go wrong with a meal here. While everything including the gelato looked amazing, we settled on a pizza which every offered to make half and half, including one side that included blue cheese. Delicious! The crust is light and fresh We wanted something lighter than deep dish pizza and this was perfect! Highly recommend a stop or two here for some fantastic food at very fair prices.

Owned & Operated by sisters Dee & Liz, this Italian Lunch & Dinner spot is an absolute staple for any Downtown Chicago regulars. Superb Pizza, Excellent sandwiches, and there is PLENTY more to look forward to every time you walk in those doors.

Rustica Pizza & Chicken Parm sandwich are my favorites. Next on the list to try Stuffed Gnocchi, THE LASAGNA on a rainy day is what Dee suggested, and their Vodka Sauce.

You have to go into this place and enjoy one of the best seats for Lunch or Dinner in the city!

Gelato Counter, Espresso & Cookies... Dee & Liz will not disappoint!

The entire staff is great, they are kind and hospitable. We cannot wait for their Patio to open this summer!

Thanks for all you do Dee, Liz & Team!

Prime definition of a hidden gem. Our family found the restaurant on Google maps and we were very pleased with everything. The food was very savory, we were told the sauces are made in house daily. The place is small but it adds to the homey vibe of the place, including all the memorabilia at the entrance of the restaurant. The prices were very accommodating, nothing of what you would expect with dining in downtown Chicago. The service was attentive and friendly. Upon finishing our meals, we were all surprised that none of us asked for to-go boxes and that's a first!

This is a really nice spot! It's only a 5min walk from me and you can go through the Wrigley building to find it. If you're driving, you can locate it on Wabash. Ordered the 4 formaggio pizza and added truffle oil. Very crispy and delicious. Had their salted caramel gelato which was great too.

Small but very cute place, you can sit outside or inside and have some legit Italian thin crust pizza! We were very hungry and thought about taking something with pizza, but decided to get just the pizza and thank God, because it is so filling we left two pieces because we wanted to try some of that gelato they sell too! I went with pistachio, and it is very rich and flavorful. They also have wine which is amazing because I can't have my pizza without wine. Love love ????

Incredible! No other words to describe our experience. Our waiter was also the chef! All the recipes were created by him. He is from Sardinia Italy and his food is superb. This place is a best kept secret.

We started with 2 appetizers the Rollatini and the Burrata salad. The portions were generous and this ended up being a meal for me and a hungry 19 yr old. We skipped the entree and went right to desert. We had planned on getting the ravioli but we were stuffed. The tiramisu was freshly made and so delicious! Then as if that weren't enough they brought put complimentary Gelato! Chocolate Cherry! OmG! And mint with chocolate shavings. We spent $30 for our meal which is totally affordable!

We walked 2 miles after this along the river walk. I am sure I gained 5lbs regardless. LOL! I can't wait to go back! They are a family owned small business, and they have been here for 11 hrs let's make sure they survive this covid crushing business and they are around for another 11. ????

Quaint no frills Italian. Very good food and very affordable in pricey Chicago. Nice outdoor patio and very good service. The gnocchi, the chicken, and the ravioli were all very good. The pizza bread app was also good. Nice family restaurant.
