This was the best sushi experience I've ever had. Lain was our server and took care of us like a pro. Everything we ate and drank was absolutely delicious. We will be back.

The best vegan sushi ever. And it’s not just a couple varieties. There has to be 20 different creative types and the apps and deserts are vegan too. Outdoor patio is nice. Parking is tough. Service is good. When your nonvegan friends tell you that the vegan rolls tasted better than theirs, you know it’s good. It can be pricey, but worth it.

Best sushi I’ve ever had. I’m vegan and I had the Green Goddess, Shiitake to Me and Vegan Black Dragon to share. All delicious, especially the vegan black dragon.

You GUYS. This place is fantastic!! It's not the cheapest place in town but everything was so good, we really didn't care.
We ordered edamame (warm, delicious, soft and salty), and a bunch of other stuff I let my 12 year old companion choose and, when you're with a 12 year old who prefers ordering california rolls, you eat california rolls. So we ordered the Cali Rolls, Hotel Cali Rolls, and Kappa. Oh, and of course, my usual Diet Coke haha. That said, I was pleasantly surprised to see Blue Sushi Sake uses real crab and not the typical immitation stuff the other places serve. Our server was attentive, fast, and friendly - all wins for us!
I think we spent around $60 after tip. A little pricey? Yes. But the food was outstanding and the atmosphere was super cool. We loved it and we'll definitely be back!

Issa vibe at Blue Sushi Sake Grill in Lincoln Park! The have an extensive affordable drink menu ranging from $9 -$13. I enjoyed the cucumber jalapeño margarita which was fantastic. The atmosphere is fun, hip, and trendy! They play some good music but it’s not too loud where you can’t enjoy a drink or a meal. This is a great spot to have a date night, catch up with friends, or grab a few drinks before or after dinner. Customer service is wonderful, if you come here you won’t be disappointed. The sushi and other menu items are very enjoyable.

Great sushi, cocktails, service and overall experience. Fair prices for excellent and very fresh fish plus vegan options which makes it fun for everyone. The calamari was peppery and a break from the typical. We tried a variety of rolls and loved them all.

We went for the vegan options (so many!) and were blown away by them. I'm still thinking about them weeks later. However, one friend who went with the regular menu items, some safe choices, like cali roll, was less impressed. Nice decor, nice service.

Let me just start this review by saying Seth is the best employee I have ever encountered and seriously went above and beyond to create a wonderful experience for me at Blue Sushi Sake Grill. I haven't actually ever been in the restaurant, though solely judging the instagram page I hope to actually visit some day because the ambiance looks amazing! I caved and purchased some super expensive doordash to treat myself as I survive through finals season-- 2 vegan black dragon rolls. I was hankering over the website and these immediately caught my eye as a vegan- meatless shrimp? bbq eggplant? black tobiko?? I needed to have it, $10 delivery fee and all. But then, doordash didn't have it in their system, so I had to call in! Seth immediately answered and informed me that they were out of cream cheese and were unable to provide it, so I inquired if I could purchase it without the cream cheese (definitely need to try it next time though!!). He went above and beyond to ask the manager if this was possible, and arranged my doordash order so that I could purchase an entirely different item that was the same price so I could receive the black dragon rolls. I added mushroom too which made it 10x more amazing! I am so grateful because it probably was very time consuming and completely unnecessary, I wish I got the opportunity to tip him but unfortunately all tips go to doordash. I remember my first bite-- so flavorful, perfect texture, and the sweet sauce was so good. As a lifetime vegan, I 100% recommend this place and wish I could order super expensive doordash every day. That's something to strive for! (will motivate me thru finals season) Anyways I can't recommend this place enough, superb food, and amazing customer service. Will update my review when I get the chance to try it in person.

Excellent selection of vegan sushi! I recommend the shiitake to me roll; it was my favorite. The Eden roll was also very tasty. Also the coconut breezy was an excellent cocktail.

My favorite sushi place in Chicago. I used to drive 40 mins to Naperville location just to get the best vegan sushi in Chicagoland. I’m so glad this place is now located in the city.
The drinks are amazing. Staff are always super friendly. And this is the only place where you can get delicious vegan sushi. It’s so good, I crave it every weekend. The ambience is also very authentic.

Best vegan sushi, probably the largest and most original vegan sushi menu I’ve seen in Chicagoland. The Brussel sprouts are amazing, and our favorite rolls are the the crunchy cabbage and Thai hippie. They also have vegan nigiri options which are worth a try, but not everyone was a fan of the texture.

Went here for a Galentine’s dinner and our waitress put our sushi in a boat! Fun drinks and good sushi, we got the crispy rice as an app and it was 10/10. Everything was reasonably priced, will def be back!

A new Favorite.
Went out to celebrate and as soon as you walk in the mood is set with the upbeat music and ambience. Service was great and for anyone new to sushi or sashimi the server graciously explains the menu. The drinks were wonderful and the plates were great. We ordered a small plate, dipping crab, which is a whole small crab fried in tempura and served with a flavored soy sauce. For anyone who hasn't had it before its a fun first try. Two Medium plates, the chicken lettuce wrap and the sizzling steak. The steak was so tender absolutely loved it and the lettuce wraps were amazing. We also got 3 rolls, the lion king. A spicy roll with a somewhat savory sauce on top. Two standard rolls. Sake(salmon) and Avocado roll. Though we didn't try them the veg rolls all sounded amazing.
