Oh my god, this place is the WORST! I really wanted to love it since it’s the only panaderia around the area, but the woman was rude as soon as I walked in. They have the smallest selection of pastries, and when I asked her if they had any conchas, she barely looked up from her phone to just say “No”. Super rude, and extremely disappointed. I rather make the trip out to a panaderia where they actually have bread and actually care about their customers. Do better Artemio’s!

Pastries and bread are wonderful. But for those of us that are not familiar with the assortment of Mexican pasteries... They should have them individually labeled with the name and the price. ????????

It's been a while since I visited my grandmother. She's living with my Auntie. Since I miss her so much I decided to go visit with her and stay there for one week. I also bought her a lot of presents. Before I go there I want to buy him some bread aside from flowers. She loves bread and when I was a kid we used to eat bread, sandwich and bagel every morning with some milk or coffee.

I went to this shop. It was my second time coming here and I like their bread. There is a lot of bread to choose from. It was kinda hard to choose since all of it tasted really delicious. I bought again the bread that I bought here lastime because it taste so delicious. It was packed in the box. I'm sure my grandma will like this. Can't wait to see her reaction.

I really wanted to give this place one star but the baked goods was very affordable and they were delicious….the reason why i wanted to give Artemio’s Bakery one star was because the lady who worked there treated us horribly. Me and my boyfriend picked out some baked goods and was at the register ready to pay the lady came over and literally gave us this mean look and without even saying “Hi!” She told us what our total was. My boyfriend asked what was in one of the baked goods, she literally ignored him. The worst part was when she realized there was a Latin American person behind us she immediately smiled and said “ Hello, how are you?” in Spanish. We are Asian American and we felt very discriminated and dehumanized. We won’t be coming back!

Was here yesterday and it was just a disgusting experience. Lasy working in the pm shift was getting ready to close and rolling floor mats, i was ready to pay, she came straight to the register, i asked her to wash her hands which to she reply that it wasn't necessary since she wasn't touching the bread, proceed to open the bag with her bare hands, no gloves and not washing her hands. Will NEVER be coming back as long as she's still working here. She's disgusting!

My friends and I love this bakery and go a few times a week. Rolls, danish, cookies and pastries are all delicious. Love that they started carrying donuts in the morning too. I wish they had outdoor seating out front on Sheridan bc it would be a great spot to turn into a little cafe during nice weather if they stepped up their coffee game too.

I truly enjoy the baked goods from this neighborhood panadería. Unfortunately, I receive poor service almost every time I come here. I’m a regular customer and whether I’m in the bakery during a rush or the only customer, I’m hardly ever greeted when I come in or thanked for my patronage when I leave. I’m essentially ignored as if I’m a ghost.

Whenever there are others in the bakery, they are greeted, welcomed warmly, and told to have a good day (standard courtesy). I identify as Black and it seems as though the staff here have a strong racial bias as they only greet and smile at white or (non-Black) Latinx folks.

My experience at Artemio’s has been disappointing and dehumanizing, and I will not come here anymore.

Such a cute an easy bakery right off the Sheridan red line. Serves all sorts of breads, cookies and muffins. My favorite is the biscuit bread filled with cheese ????????. Very friendly staff always willing to walk you through the days choices if you only ask!!

This bakery recently moved from across the street and the new space is brighter and cleaner. Unfortunately, the customer service here is horrible, particularly if you don't speak Spanish. Items are not labeled, and if you want to know what an item is you are out of luck. I tried to ask the only employee in the store, but first she ignored me and stayed in the kitchen area in back of the store. Then when she did come out, she only gave unhelpful answers. I asked and pointed to an item and she only said "It's plain" and asked about the item next to it (which really looked quite different), she just said the same thing. If you're going to have a store staffed with someone who has limited English skills, (and actually for everyone) post a card by each item with a description of the item. It would only cost a few cents, and I would have bought more if I knew what things were. The employee went back to the kitchen. I thought maybe she doesn't deal with customers much. But a few minutes later, someone else came in, said something in Spanish, and she came out animated, helped him, talked for a few minutes, and when he left, she went right back to the kitchen. When I was ready to pay, I had to get her attention and she acted like it was a big effort. I was really insulted. This is Wrigleyville, and English is the dominant language. It would be understandable if this was in an Hispanic neighborhood. But it felt like the store didn't want my business. The cookies were good, not great. I bought 2 rolls, but when I went to have one the next morning, they were both hard, and totally dried out. It's all too bad. It's nice to have a bakery in the neighborhood, esp. one with unique items, but I don't think I'll be back.

Nice staff, delicous baked goods. They used to be a cross the street, but their current location is great too :)

They do bulk orders and can even make you a specialized birthday cake.
