Best Taiwanese breakfast place. Cash Only, I love their purple Fan Tuan (purple rice roll). Their peanut drink has just the right amount of sugar in it. Compare to other Taiwanese breakfast place, the food here taste the best.

3.5 stars, rounded up to 4. Takeout-only as of early September 2022. I got the purple rice salty fan tuan with egg and pickles, plus a cold peanut rice milk. The egg kind of detracted from the flavor of the fan tuan overall, making it rather bland. I think it may not have been salted sufficiently, or at all for that matter. The pickles were bright, but lacked depth. Altogether, an okay fan tuan. I’ll probably skip the egg and just get it with pickles next time. Not much else to say except that the cold peanut rice milk was tasty.

I had the fan tuan with purple rice, added the egg and pickles. Came out to $8. Cash only. It was very good food, you order at the window, no dine-in option and no outdoor seating, just grab and go. Friendly service.

Good breakfast place. It is only take-out right now (presumably because of COVID).
The portion is larger than usual breakfast found in Asia countries.
Egg omelette, you tiao go well together, and it's nice to have soybean milk or peanut rice milk on the side.

They’re cash only and takeout only. Wish they were open for seating. We went on a weekday morning and got our food in 5 mins with no line.

Time: Saturday @ 10am
Wait: 35 minutes - takeout only
Payment: Cash only- but they also take venmo
Food: Pretty good for the price!

We were craving sweet soy milk and you tiao
(Chinese donut) and decided to come here after reading the reviews. There were two crowds of people - one crowd on the right were waiting to pick up their food and the other on the left are waiting to order. After ordering, they gave us a estimate of 25 minutes, so we ended up browsing the nearby asian supermarket.

We ordered both the sweet and salty soymilk, beef wrap, fan tuan (chinese rice roll), pork and leek dumplings, and you tiao. We brought our food home and digged in. The food taste like your traditional Chinese breakfast. It similar to breakfast at JJ bakery and other local asian brunch places in sgv.

I just wish they were open for dine in, the food itself would have tasted better eaten on the spot. Overall, the food is tasty and comforting, great for a nice morning meal.

We came on a Friday around 11am. No wait. Food came out super fast. We ordered: large savory soy milk, extra you tiao, purple rice ball with you tiao, pork floss, egg and pickles, egg scallion pancakes, fried radish cakes, between 2 people ???????????? bill was $25 incl 20% tip. The only thing I didn’t like was the radish cakes because I prefer the Cantonese ones at dim sum. These were too fried and didn’t have enough chunky fillings

Like others said, CASH ONLY (and there's a posted sign).

It's an okay place to go for breakfast. Would I consider it as one of the best place? Nope. Middle of the road, IMO. It almost has a feel of a "hole in the wall".

Nothing special about the setting. Just go in order, eat, and leave. Simple.

I prefer this place over most of the Taiwanese pastry restaurants. The salty tofu soup with Taiwanese doughnut isn't too salty. It's very mellow and savory, a perfect start to the day. The Fan Tuan is the best I've ever had with the purple rice, egg and pickled veggies. Food is so good you can overlook the dingy bathrooms. Lol

Delicious place to grab an authentic Taiwanese breakfast brunch! The turnip cakes were one of the best ones I've had - very crispy and tasty. Also enjoyed the youtiao which was also fresh and crispy, unlike some other places. The sweet soy milk wasn't too sweet which I enjoyed, I ended up adding a little extra sugar for some flavor but I liked that we can adjust from the baseline.

We also had the guabao - the bun was a bit dry for me but I liked the toppings inside.

The oyster omelet and taiwanese meat bun (bawang) was okay for us - the sauce wasn't flavorful enough and we didn't think it was as authentic as the other food items we tried.

Overall, would come back - very filling and reasonable prices!
