Food is always so delicious ???? Great ambiance and even better service! Wish we would have tried this place sooner, as it is now our go-to for pre-gaming. It's so good, we'll be coming even when the season is over.

Short rib taco and the prime rib taco were fabulous! Mar y Tierra burrito was good as well. Great attentive staff.

Excellent food and their adult beverage selection is huge, mainly tequila. The ambience is pretty great, homely feel and the chips and salsa is excellent.

Their chicken tortilla soup is amazing(I added a little salt) and their elote corn appetizer is excellent. The taco sampler dinner is great along with their salmon burrito(No Rice No Beans).

Update : had Uber Eats and still amazing, the elote was on point, with the tortilla soup(I like with a pinch of salt), and the burrito looked massive for a delivery order compared to in restaurant.

Had the besttt burrito I’ve had in a long time here! The portions are generous and just half a burrito can fill you up!

@eatswithedith on IG for more!

???? Ordered:
1. Mar y Tierra Burrito: 100/10???????? the portions here are hugeee , you can get full off half of the burrito ???? the shrimp is grilled to perfection and it pairs so beautifully with the beef ????
2. Chips and guac: 10/10!! I love how the chips have seasoning on them ???? it makes them so flavorful and zesty ✨

Side note: I personally prefer the Sawtelle location over the new DTLA one

????Price: $20/burrito

Casual Mexican spot in DTLA. Came here for dinner prior to watching a show at the Microsoft Theater on a Wednesday night, and were were in and out of there within an hour. Walked in and we were seated immediately. Indoor seating only - there’s tables as well as bar seating. Street parking. Credit cards are accepted.

The decor is bright and colorful. If you dine in, you do get complimentary chips and salsa. The tacos were small but filling. I liked the Al pastor taco a lot. The shrimp I got was also tasty. They have premium cuts of meat and do have lengua. Overall, it was a good spot for a quick dinner before an event at the Microsoft Theater/the Novo/Staples Center (crypto.com arena).

My server was the perfect blend of attentive and "I'll leave you alone, LoL. I had the California Burrito, it was great! The patio dining was also clutch. I am from Michigan, so sitting outside in 60 degree weather was great for me!

We craved Mexican food for dinner and well, this is where we ended up.
Things you should know:
I. LOCATION
Off of Flower St. The entryway arches are blue ~ you can't miss it.
II. SERVICE
No complaints. They'll check for a vaccination card and ID for dining customers.
III. QUALITY
We assumed this place was known for tacos because it has "Prime Tacos" in the name, but the salmon taco we ordered was average and disappointing. Maybe we didn't pick the right one? There was a lot of hype on Yelp for the Mar y Tierra Burrito, so we ordered that too: You'd savor it if you enjoy salty guac ~ my palate doesn't particularly enjoy that... The Quesadilla appetizer slaps if you have a heavy cheese craving (like me) and the horchata de pistache is pretty unique.
IV. CAPACITY
Plenty of available seating for a Sunday evening. We didn't have to wait for a table.

Maybe the plainest mexican food I’ve ever had. Elote had a good chipotle sauce but aside from that…. my mom returned the asada fajitas bc literally no seasoning. I got the chicken burrito, ALL DARK MEAT, it was alright, some of the rice was on the hard side. Brother got taco sampler and only liked the al pastor.

This would be a pretty good restaurant to visit if you have GERD????there’s no seasoning on the fajitas, rice or beans or chicken . Nothing to irritate the stomach???? sangria was okay.

Hybrid Mexican food between high end and casual. The filet mignon tacos were delicious, carne asada burrito was pretty good, but the cocktails were amazing and worth a visit on their own. Ask for AJ, he was a great server.

This is a new restaurant in DTLA and it's awesome! Definitely add it to your list to check out, especially if you're anywhere near the Staples Center. The ambiance is really cool with a lot of interesting artwork, a full bar, & a room with large TV screens for watching the games. I ordered the guacamole, taco sampler & margarita - all of them were great and very high quality. I love the mesquite grill flavor on the tacos, my favorite was probably the rib eye. The margarita was strong & delicious and I ordered it with Fortaleza Blanco. The restaurant actually has an incredible selection of legit tequilas & mezcal - I can't wait to try more of them the next time I visit. If you're into tequila & Mexican food, this is the place to go!
