This diner has its own charm about it, definitely transporting you back in time. They have fun decorations including lots of pigs and photos of before and after of Los Angeles. Service was friendly and food didn't take too long to come out. We got the Huoves Rancheros and it did not disappoint. It also ended up being way too much food and I saved the leftovers to stuff into a burrito later. We waited about 20 min so we could sit inside, but there is also a set up outdoor area as well. Overall a fun, little dinner with neat decor and yummy food!

Been coming to Nick’s Cafe every time I’m in LA for the last 6 years, and I’ve never been disappointed. Great servings of food for fantastic prices, and the taste is just spot on. Highly recommend you try this place.

Happy to support an established LA business, but $18 for a floppy piece of bread, dead lettuce, and glob of mayonnaise (a “BLT”) is absolutely not the vibe.

REAL. You don’t come here for glamor. You come here for good eats. Proper greasy spoon. Chipped mug with good coffee kept hot by attentive staff. Again: REAL. French toast thick, caramelized on the edges, tender in the middle, excellent bread. Bacon: wands of perfection, crispy but not overdone. That’s how you do it, and not everyone can. My friend had biscuits and gravy, and with my being a born Appalachian, I found them to be pretty good. Not as good as I make, but that’s a tale for another time. Brewery (a great one) across the street too. Close to the Dodgers Stadium. What more could you want in a brunch place in LA when you’re after good, filling food? Real diner. Almost hate to tell anyone about it because the wait is already—justifiably—impressive. Sigh…I’ll allow it.

A group of 7 of us decided to go eat here after skating the LA Marathon at 3am. We arrived at 940am and it was plenty busy. We waited about 20 minutes to get seated, but DAMN that food was GREAT. Friends had common breakfast, but I ordered a tuna melt... ????
Amazing service by staff.

This a really cool Los Angels diner with chic industrial vibes. The eggs Benedict was delicous, as were the omelets and other plates. It can be slightly expensive, but it was totally worth it. One can park on the street if you can't find it on the lot. The service was a little slow and the wait can be tiring, but the food and atmosphere made up for it.

Good American food. The coffee is to be avoided. Portions are HUGE. Everyone is friendly. We got French toast, Eggs, Hash, and two combo plates. The hash was really good. The french toasts are so big good luck finishing it. Price was cheap. $63 for Four Full plates and coffee. Will return.
