Currently here right now waiting for 2 hours, when initially they said 1 hour wait! If I would have known I would have just gone somewhere else. That's the only reason I deducted a start. My suggestion is wait outside before they open or call in for phone orders because this is RIDICULOUS. The pizza slice I originally wanted was the Detroit style pepperoni with hot honey but they ran out, so I got one Detroit style cheese with vodka sauce. And I kid you not THEE BEST PIZZA I've EVER had hands down ???????????????? so give that one a try. That for me is 11/10 it's sooo good and flavorful. The pizza that I'm waiting 2 hours for is a whole pepperoni pie. I rate that alone a 8.3/10.

TIP: WAIT IN LINE BEFORE THEY OPEN OR CALL IN IN FOR PHONE ORDERS.

I really wanted to like this pizza. I spent almost $50 on a pizza with six slices, that was so salty and garlicky I could barely choke down one slice (scraping off a lot of garlic). I threw the rest away ☹️

Now I'm someone that definitely likes garlic, and I usually multiply the garlic in a recipe by 2-3x. Garlic on pizza is fantastic when it's whole roasted cloves, or freshly pressed. Unfortunately, this pizza appeared to have an entire jar of harsh commercially minced garlic just dumped on top of it. I'm not kidding, like a very large jar. Every slice had a giant covering of tell-tale jarred minced garlic smothered on it. It was also extremely oily and because they use salted hard cheese on the "real deal" plus salted pepperoni plus salted Parmesan plus salt sprinkled on top, it's so salty as to be inedible. The square pizza is also mostly cheese, with just a sad, soggy, thin layer of bread at the bottom of the ensemble with no satisfying thickness to bite through like you'd hope on a pan pizza.

The pictures are decieving. It's not good! The basil on top and neon signs in the store are the only reason I gave it two stars.

The place itself as others have mentioned is not an eat-in place, it's just a takeout counter. The neon is cool! Takeout only would be fine by me if it was good! But definitely skip this place. It was inedible, and I'm not particularly picky with pizza.

This spot is easily the best pizza ln los angeles. Detroit style pizza and NY thin pizza was very flavorful with that crispy bottom and edges you look for in a great pie. Highly recommend. This spot will not disappoint. Look forward to going back.

Being from the East Coast (Philly). It's been incredibly hard to find a decent pie in my 14 years of living out here.

I have come across a few gems in between. But only a few... Others just get the job done...

Not sure how I missed Dave's review on this back in February! But when I stumbled across it the other night, and he mentioned the hours and how it was cash only. I knew it was going to special! And man! It did not disappoint!!! This is the diamond in the rough I have been looking for!

I am not a square Pizza guy, but woah! I was blown away by the Spicy Vodka Detroit Hybrid Style!!! And the 20" Large was the icing on the cake. Hands down the best spot in LA and possibly all of CA :) They do it proper!

Shout out to the staff who were incredibly genuine and real. Felt like home :) The Vibe in there with other customers, while eating was something special as well. It just had an East Coast Vibe! Nothing but love!

I nearly ate all of that! On top of a margherita slice that a dope customer shared with me from his pie!

8.9 in my book! FANTASTIC!!!

First of all I traveled 1250 miles to try the top rated Pizza by Dave P. I arrived 45 min early incase their was a line to have pizza. No line and no cars in the lot except to go to the smoke shop or video gamers. I was ready with my order and cash in hand. I was the 3rd group of customers to enter to find out it would be 60-90 min for a large cheese pizza… this is not acceptable in any situation. They were not busy yet they were not throwing dough and not making any pizzas. I was very disappointed to say the least. They didn’t even seem to be apologetic for the lack of work ethic. As a business owner I would be sick if my company’s operated in this manor. I would not recommend and I will not travel and return to this business. Don’t waste your time.

One of the best NY pizza's in LA if not the best. From the first second you bite into a warm slice it takes you back home to NY.

Amazing taste. Kind of salty but the crust and everything is just perfection. I would say they need to improve their operation efficiency since now everyone wants to try their delicious pizzas with million orders. Order time and baking time should improve overall. However, the guys at the oven are working hard and they are nice to everyone.

I watched a video about Apollonia’s Pizzeria one or two weeks ago. I was in Los Angeles yesterday, and I thought it was time for me to try their pizza. I got there not that long after they opened. I ordered one plain slice and one pepperoni slice. The owners were friendly, and everything was ready in 10 minutes.

The location:
It is located in a small strip shopping center on Wilshire Boulevard at South Sycamore Avenue. There is construction going on due to the Metro expansion, so one side of the parking lot was blocked off. They take cash only. Also, there is no where to sit inside. This is strictly take out.

The Pizza:
Both slices were extremely flavorful, and there is no place I have found in Los Angeles that has a crust as crisp as this pizzeria. The slices were very big! Even after eating two slices, I was seriously tempted to go back and get another slice. It reminded me of the pizzerias on the East Coast. The undercarriage of each slice was well-done without me ever saying anything.

The parking situation near there is not the greatest right now, but the pizza was so good that it is worth a return trip.

I decided to eat here after a pizza review from David Portnoy of Barstool Sports, and I really enjoyed the pizza here. The parking lot is pretty small especially considering there are other businesses in the small shopping center this place is at. Ordered the 20 inch Mayor's Mistress pizza and I really liked the flavor of the sauce and the roma tomatoes on the pizza. One of the more popular items seemed to he the Detroit style pizza, but they were out of slices by the time I decided to order it. I'll definitely have to order it the next time I come back.

This slice was amazing. Top notch ingredients on a beautiful crust. Combination of toppings look audacious but they're actually quite thoughtful and balanced. This one had pepperoni, burrata , honey. There was definetly additional herbs, maybe from the pepperoni but I couldn't identify clearly. I'm a fan now
