Do not go to this place the employees are very rude and the cooks are nasty please do not eat here. They are not owned by r & tr some other people run it now.

Green beans were great.. cabbage blah.. fried chicken tasted like fish grease and unseasoned.. this was my second try and I MUST say don't waste your money... go to m&ms down the street which isn't much better... just a disappointment... stars are for the green beans only.. Mac was dry and salty

It is usually crowded. I suggest If you are going for take out to order ahead. The food is good. You receive enough food for a nice size meal. The staff is friendly.

I stubble into this places looking for another place glad I did I order red snapper Mac and cheese greens and let me tell you first time I visit was very good second was the worst food was terrible I got red snapper again dry over cook no hot sauce or ketup will disguise the bitter nasty taste of fish never again over price trash is what I just experience.And don't get me started on the cook and cashier being messy.Food cold the people that were dinning in had received better service than I did.Waste your time here if you want too.My advice it wasn't worth a drive from south l.a to carson

I’m from down south so i always expect “soul food” to be very flavorful. This location was an okay experience. Best part was the chops and cobbler sadly.

Just like enjoying a meal at home! The fried chicken is crispy, perfectly seasoned, succulent inside. I enjoyed the Liver & Onions. Greens, yams, mac & cheese sides...I'm still smiling!
The portion sizes allow for leftovers to enjoy later. A generous plate of corn bread muffins precedes the delicious entrée. Dinner was served quickly and piping HOT. R & R Soulfood is a reflection of " Moms best" ENJOY.

Breakfast, lunch or dinner...if you're looking for good food at a decent price, just browse through the menu and choose...anything. There are no bad choices. They do not disappoint. Top it off with their great service. It all adds up to why you should make it a point to stop by R & R Soulfood the next time you're cruising down Avalon. Oh, and tell 'em I said "Hey."

Out here for work as I am always I look up on Goggle maps for some oxtails and R & R Soulfood pop up .....mmmmmmmmm Man I’m from the south (Texas) and this food was off the Chain Flavor through and through cabbage and yams
Y’all better go by there and get a plate or 2. That was lunch below ....what will it be for dinner ???
